Robert Eugene Kelce "Mr. K", age 82, of New Bedford, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Our Lady's Haven in Fairhaven.

Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late George and Alberta (Sumpter) Kelce. Mr. K served in the Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed food, cigarettes, coffee, playing cards, dancing the polka and gambling. He loved his dogs Herbie and Nola. Robert Eugene Kelce "Mr. K", age 82, of New Bedford, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Our Lady's Haven in Fairhaven.

Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late George and Alberta (Sumpter) Kelce. Mr. K served in the Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed food, cigarettes, coffee, playing cards, dancing the polka and gambling. He loved his dogs Herbie and Nola. He owned and operated Kelce's Sewing Center for more than 35 years, repairing and selling sewing machines. Mr. K was always helping someone. He was an incredibly compassionate and generous man.

Survivors include two daughters, Tracey Kelce of New Bedford, Tami Fleurent and her husband Robert of Ohio; a brother, George Kelce and his wife Lucretia of California; a sister, Phyllis Piper and her husband Billy of Albuquerque, NM; grandsons Robert and Joel Fleurent and Jeffrey Senna; and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Scott Kelce and brother of the late Dwayne Kelce and Katherine Minarchi.
