James "Jim" G. Kruczek, 72, of Dartmouth passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in Massachusetts General Hospital after a sudden illness. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Mackler) Kruczek.

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late John and Kathleen (Feeley) Kruczek he grew up in New Bedford and lived in Dartmouth for many years.

Mr. Kruczek graduated from New Bedford High School and Bristol Community College. He worked as the maintenance department head at the Friends Academy and attended church at St. George Parish, Westport.

Jim devoted a lot of time and energy caring for his animal family, going to chapel every Tuesday and he was a prize winning oil painter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tara Webster of FL; a son, James G. "Jimmie" Kruczek, II and his wife Dion of TX; a stepdaughter, Lori Partridge; a stepson, John Partridge; two sisters, Marilyn Steele and her husband Mervin and Kathleen Mello and her husband Richard all of Dartmouth; three grandchildren, two step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late John J. Kruczek and Joan German.
